Overview

We are a three form entry Junior School in Carshalton, Surrey – part of the London Borough of Sutton. The school has Foundation status, is popular and over-subscribed. Most of our children transfer to us from the Infants’ school, which is situated adjacent to the Junior School. Both schools celebrated their Centenary in 2005!

We hope as you explore our website, you will get an idea of “what we are about”. As a community we share a “Sense of Pride” in our work and achievements.

We have achieved the Artsmark GOLD award, the Basic Skills Quality Mark 3, the Healthy Schools Award, Activemark, the Eco-Schools Silver Award and the Smartertravel Sutton award.

At Stanley Park Junior School we value all aspects of learning across a wide curriculum, with our aim to nurture the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm that lead towards life-long learning and prepare everyone for a successful role in life.  At our last inspection, in May 2014, Ofsted judged our school to be Good.  This is what they said about us

  • 'Staff morale is high. Teachers and support staff work well together. They are committed to making sure that each pupil achieves their potential.’
  • The rich and varied curriculum promotes learning well. It enables pupils to apply skills they have already learnt in different subjects.’
  • Pupils behave well in lessons. Their positive attitude and engagement contribute to the good progress they make. Pupils have high expectations of what they can achieve.'

About Us

We aim to prepare all children to develop the basic skills and independence necessary in order to succeed in life. Every year our children transfer to a variety of different High Schools with high achievement and an enjoyment of learning.

At Stanley Park Junior School, we challenge all children to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens. To achieve this I believe that every adult matters. As we continue to work as a team and find even more ways of supporting our children in their learning, we can provide the very best for all children at our school.
