The Forge was established in 2010 and is an amalgamation of two Worcestershire PRU’s, Holyoakesfield PRU a KS3 provision, and St Mary’s PRU a KS4 provision.

We have strong links with our partners across Worcestershire and we now operate as one school with a dedicated team of caring professionals with expertise in engaging and transforming the lives of young people who are at risk of exclusion or have been excluded from mainstream schools.

The Forge delivers a continuum of support to pupils at risk of exclusion or who have been excluded from mainstream education. This includes: Transition, Assessment, Next Steps and Support pathways which are commissioned by schools and the local authority to support pupils to flourish.

We cater for up to 48 learners and have an inclusive philosophy supporting individual pupil need. We believe passionately in giving every pupil a chance to succeed.

We aim to provide a culture and curriculum relevant to individual need and work in collaboration with our partner schools and local providers. The curriculum broadly mirrors learners’ mainstream experiences, whilst working with a pupil to progress emotionally, socially and then academically.
