About Us

At Grange Infant School, we have developed a cross-curricular approach to our topic planning, using questions or statements for our topic titles. The topics are planned by initially considering what is best for the children and what will stimulate their thinking and creativity. Our vibrant and stimulating learning spaces enable children to become resilient learners who are able to direct their own learning and tackle challenges with independence and resourcefulness.

As a school, we have high expectations and together, as a team, we are committed to providing the highest standard of education to all our children. We aim to achieve a happy and nurturing school environment where all children can reach their full potential as independent learners.

We encourage our pupils to be confident individuals and develop a lively and enquiring mind. Through our values-based curriculum, children are inspired to demonstrate positive human values, such as respect, honesty, kindness, and resilience.

Our Mission

At Grange Infant School, we work to provide all pupils with a solid academic foundation, which ensures that every child achieves their very best, especially in the key areas of English, maths, science, and computing. Our school also intends to help children develop as people, secure in knowing who they are and what they want from life. Our vision is to ensure that our pupils receive the very best education, to realise their greatest potential, in a supportive and caring environment, enabling them to lead a full, purposeful, and happy life.

We are very proud of the fact we are working towards achieving the Values Mark to become a values-based school. Values-based education inspires children and young people to adopt positive human values. It encourages and supports the moral, social, and cultural well-being of every child at Grange Infant School, and our values are interwoven in every element of the school day. Our values support children to deepen relationships and develop resilience in order for them to have the best chance of achieving academic success.

The White Horse Federation

The White Horse Federation, made in Swindon, founded in 2012

The White Horse Federation is a Multi Academy Trust of primary schools, secondary and special schools. The federation grew from a passion to be collaborative in providing a first class education to a wide range of children so that each one could more fully understand what they were capable of, what talents they had and to strive for excellence in themselves in order to succeed in the next phase of their education and in the world of work.

At its heart is a belief that we want to develop the type of schools that we would be proud to send our own children to. We do this with a relentless drive for academic excellence blended with a shared moral purpose and shared values but also with an awful lot of fun and happiness in our schools. We genuinely believe in partnership working with our schools, the pupils and their parents and the wider community each serves to create the best possible outcomes for our children.

We also believe that our colleagues are among the finest in the country and we are proud to empower them through support, training and career opportunities. With such outstanding staff we are able to ensure every student achieves all that they are capable of and more, regardless of background, culture, heritage or ability.
