About Us

The Voyage Learning Campus opened in April 2013 as a multi-site school, supporting students from Year 1 through to Year 11. We provide alternative provision for young people who for a number of reasons are unable to attend main stream school; these include:

  • Students with medical or health problems
  • Students who have been permanently excluded from a mainstream school

As an alternative provision, we are able to offer a more flexible curriculum to our students that is more personalised to their individual needs. This helps students gain in confidence and skills to enable a move back into mainstream, or at times, specialist provision. Many students who are referred to us, return swiftly and successfully back to mainstream schools. Students who remain with us attain a wide range of formal qualifications and we have a successful record for our students accessing post 16 places at college. We are proud to have played a small part of their longer educational journey and future life successes.

Campus Vision

At the Voyage Learning Campus, our mission is to enable all of our young people to achieve more than they believe is possible and to develop the skills needed to have choices to lead active, fulfilling lives. We try to achieve this by providing a safe, nurturing, holistic learning environment to support students to thrive personally and academically.

We are ambitious for our school and our students. Our 5 year vision looks to develop creative opportunities for students to be the very best versions of themselves.

  • We will be a centre of excellence and expertise for ACE/Trauma informed approaches to supporting children and young people
  • We will work in partnership with children, families and mainstream schools to provide advice, early intervention and high rates of successful integration into new provision
  • We will work proactively with external agencies to provide targeted support for children and families to keep children safe, mentally healthy and positive about their future
  • We will offer a wide range of alternative curriculum opportunities for students through collaboration with schools, colleges and employers and creative use of IT/online learning platforms
  • We will provide an innovative, collaborative professional development programme that attracts and retains the highest quality staff to work in our school
