Westfields Junior School is a vibrant and thriving school with 390 boys and girls on roll. We have high academic and behavioural expectations of pupils that support our aim for the entire school community to “Unite – Inspire – Excel”.
We are an inclusive 21st century school with fantastic facilities that enhance teaching and learning for all pupils and include: flexible learning spaces, a well resourced rainforest themed library, large hall, active rooms, pupil support rooms, a nurture room and extensive grounds. The school is well resourced, particularly in relation to our technology facilities (including our very own radio station!) and you will find our classrooms are hives of activity, full of creativity and learning, making Westfields a special place indeed for children to learn. We do our best to ensure all of our pupils are happy, enjoy their varied learning experiences and develop healthy attitudes to equip them for their future lives. Pupils are encouraged to positively contribute to our local community giving them experiences that enable them to develop problem solving skills in real life contexts. Our curriculum has been developed to create opportunities for pupils of all abilities to achieve their best, develop their talents and interests, fulfil their potential academically as well as personally and progress confidently into the next phase of their education. This is particularly evident through our Respect Charter that is integral to our ethos.
