Wonersh and Shamley Green Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School is an inclusive
village school with a strong Christian ethos. We are a one form entry school that expects to have 217 on roll in January 2020 ranging from 4 – 11 years. Our PAN is 30 with 14% of our pupils currently on the SEN Register.
We began our transition to a full primary school in 2014, with our first Year 6 class graduating in
2017. Our KS2 building was purpose-built with 4 spacious classrooms, the Headteacher’s office that overlooks both the playground and KS1, a DT room, a meeting room, and an Arts room. All KS2 classrooms open onto a covered decking area that overlooks the gardens, playing fields, running track and woodlands. Our school also benefits from a spacious hall where assemblies, school lunches, and many other events take place.
Our teachers are passionate about teaching and learning and provide an enriched learning experience for all the children, supported by the Leadership Team and funds raised by our enthusiastic Parent Teacher Association.
Wonersh and Shamley Green School is well regarded in the local community with strong links to both local state and independent schools, and excellent connections with our local churches and the wider local community.
Our latest Ofsted inspection was in November 2017 when we were rated ‘good’ overall with ‘outstanding’ for personal development, behaviour and welfare.
More recently, our SIAMS inspection was in July 2019 when we were graded ‘excellent’ in all areas.
