What's new to Eteach this autumn?
As the new academic year began, so did work on new improvements and updates across your Client Portal and our job board.
Take a look at what we’ve been up to this term:
New homepage and navigation
Over the past few months, we have been rebuilding the Eteach job board. Over 75% of candidates are searching for jobs on mobile devices; therefore, we are building the sites with a mobile-first approach. The launch sees a new homepage with a new header and footer navigation. The homepage is now a much cleaner and clearer experience, with a focus on the candidates finding their next job and enabling schools and colleges to find the content they need. The menus are more intuitive with small descriptions to guide you to the right content, faster.
This is just the start, with larger changes coming in the next few months. From adverts to applications, these changes will make for an even better experience for everyone!
Google for Jobs update
Since August, we have made big improvements to our jobs’ rankings in Google for Jobs, which lists jobs across multiple job boards, including Eteach. This work will increase vacancy visibility for schools and colleges and drive organic traffic to your jobs from Google.
Email header message added
Changes have been made to the emails you send out of your Client Portal, including adding a message that encourages candidates to reply directly to the email, ensuring all communications are kept within your portal in one thread.
Email tab loading speed
We have increased the performance of the email tab loading speed significantly, so a page that once took a few seconds to load now loads instantly. This vastly improves usability to make contacting candidates a fast and efficient experience.
Extended team member invitation expiry time
We have extended the expiry time for team member invitations to 72 hours to allow more time for new members to accept the invitation to join your hiring team within the Client Portal. This is clearly communicated within the invitation and as an on-screen message in the portal.
In line with this new improvement, the page will refresh and the sent invitation is marked as being sent a few seconds ago. You can identify which invitations have expired as they will either be marked as ‘Pending’ or ‘Expired’, and you can resend an invitation as many times as you need by simply clicking the ‘Resend Invitation’ button.
Additional subjects
After listening to our customers’ feedback, British Sign Language has been added as a subject to choose from the taxonomy when creating a new vacancy. This will also be visible to candidates when using our subject filter on the job search.
